In addition, the daily
personnel records for every U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps ship, station,
squadron and unit are available for research from 1940 through 1970. This
information can confirm or refute a claimant's assertions about their naval
service and provide lists of their co‑workers throughout their Navy/Marine Corps
career. We frequently find factual items about the plaintiff not included in
responses to interrogatories. For example, in a previous case we discovered a
plaintiff who forgot that he spent six months at hard labor in a military prison
for desertion. In other cases we found plaintiffs that forgot about Court
Martial convictions for assaulting superior officers. One plaintiff even
"forgot" being present at an open air atomic bomb test. |
